Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.


 

About your Instructor

The contract for driving tuition is solely between you and your Instructor. You and your Instructor are responsible for agreeing all matters relating to the timing , location and duration of individual  lessons.

Your Instructor is an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), and is governed within the Industry by the Road 

Safety Authority - Each Instructor has to pass his/ her own Check test every two year. This ensures that every ADI gives the high level of Instruction and carries out their duties  in a professional and caring manner. Essential Driver Training (EDT) logbboks are completed by your instructor after each lesson and must be uploaded onto RSA website by your Instructor.

It is your responsibility to keep Logbook in safe place and present  it to your Instructor at start of each lesson. You must notify your Instructor of any matters that affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition e.g. loss of learner permit or on medical reasons.

DRIVING LESSONS  ( on the road tuition).

Driving Lessons are only available to persons who meet the following criteria

  1. Aged 17 or over
  2. Who hold a valid Irish Learner Permit
  3. Who are legally entitled to drive in the Republic of Ireland.

Your responsibilities 

  1. if you take on the road lessons it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate Licence and this License must be presented to your Instructor prior to commencement of your tuition
  2. Your Instructor reserves the right to refuse to provide you with tuition or to cancel any lessons you have booked,without liability,if you fail to provide him with the license prior to your first lesson.
  3. Your on the road tuition is governed by a contract between you and your Instructor. Accordingly ,you and your Instructor are responsible for arranging the date, time, pick up location and duration of your lessons.
  4. You will treat your Instructor with respect and to follow your Instructors reasonable instructions, particularly with regard to matters affecting your health and safety.

Your Instructors Responsibilities – Your Instructor will

  1. Provide you with driving Tuition at the hourly rate published on this web site
  2.  Design a course of lessons to match your specific Driving and learning needs.
  3.  Provide you with on road Driving Lessons which will last for duration agreed at start
  4.   Provide a presentable, modern, properly maintained and dual controlled car
  5. Recommend where appropriate advanced driving courses to develop your skills

For example , motorway driving , echo driving and driving in extreme weather

  1. Give you relevant feedback during your lessons and record and upload your logbook lessons
  2. Provide training on a one – to – One basis with no other learner in the car.
  3. At all times co duct themselves in a professional manner including

  • Being courteous and considerate to you
  • Avoiding physical contact except in an emergency 
  • Not Smoking  as its prohibited and illegal
  • Restricting mobile phone use except in an emergency or for your benefit.

  1. Reserve the right to cancel a lesson or to finish a lesson on grounds of road safety
  2. Not discriminate against you and always abide by the law.
  3. Endeavour to be on time at the agreed pick up point
  4. Endeavour to give you 48 hours notice should a lesson need to be re scheduled
  5. Respond professionally to any of your worries or issues and to resolve them to your satisfaction.

Lessons cancellation policy

  1. If you wish to cancel or re arrange a driving lesson  you must give your Instructor at least 48  hours minimum notice . Otherwise you will be liable for 100% of the lesson fee.
  2. Where you have pre paid for any lesson but fail to attend or provide minimum notice (48 hours) , it will be counted as lesson taken for the purposes of the lesson cancellation policy and you will be charged fir the lesson fee.
  3. You will not be able to sell or transfer any driving lessons which you have pre paid for to any third party without obtaining our prior consent.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change the price of all our learner products/ lessons ( including special  offers).

Payment

Payment for lessons / gift vouchers can be made by the following means

  1. Payment by cash directly to your Instructor
  2. Payment via cheque made payable to Charlie Hurley School of Motoring.
  3. Payment via banking on line .


Data Protection Notice

Any personal data you provide will be held securely  and in accordance with the Data Protection Act
